Finding the will to climb Kilimanjaro

Enderby LibraryChildren and adults can find plenty to do in Enderby Library and other libraries across the Blaby area this month, with carnival-themed sessions and special talks on family history and even mountaineering in Kenya.

A fascinating talk on the scaling of Africa’s tallest peak, Mt Kilimanjaro, will take place at Blaby Library on the evening of Monday 8th August between 7pm and 8pm.

The talk will take in thewildlifeand famous safari ofKenya, and refreshments will also be provided. Pre booking is required and tickets cost £2 each. Call 0116 305 3516 for more information.

A talk at Enderby Library takes a look at amusing wills written over the ages and provides hints and tips on researching ones own family history.

This talk takes place between 7pm and 8pm on Wednesday 10th August. Pre-booking is required and tickets cost £2 each, with refreshments included. Call 0116 305 3523 for more information.

And for younger library visitors, there are free carnival-themed story and activity sessions at three local libraries. These take place at Enderby Library between 11am and 12noon on Saturday 6th August, at Blaby Library between 2pm and 3pm on Monday 8th August and at Glenfield Library between 2pm and 3pm on Wednesday 10th August.
