Family event was a spooktacular success

Families and children took part in a Halloween spooktacular at Fosse Meadows, near Sharnford last Friday (2nd November).

Hosted by Blaby District Council’s Health & Recreation team, the event saw just under 200 people attend two spooky story walks and enjoyed activities such as circus skills, face painting, and arts and crafts.

There was also a performance of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” by the HelenGuyDanceAcademy.

Darren Farish, physical activity development officer and one of the event organisers, said:

“The spooktacular event went really well and we had another great turnout, especially as it was a very cold evening.

“There were some brilliant Halloween costumes and the children loved the stories and activities.”

One attendee said:

“It has been wonderful, we came last year too. My daughter has come over from Spain with her family to attend.”
