Enderby Fete Committee are inviting local organisations to have a stall at the inaugural village fete in Enderby.
The fete will be taking place on Saturday 30th July at Brockington College from 12 midday to 4pm.
The fete is for the residents of Enderby to have an enjoyable day out, but also a chance for people to know all about the different groups and organisations that exist in the local community.
The committee are inviting all these groups to have a chance to have a stall and to put on some kind of entertainment, or display that enables people to find out about the group and also for that group to raise funds if that is needed.
For any local group from the area who would like to hold a stall at the fete there is a nominal amount for each stall, of £10, which will pay for the hire of the table and chairs, as well as covering the standard costs of such an event, after which each group can keep whatever money they raise.
Money could be raised via a raffle, tombola, or draw a straw competition, etc.
In order to make the fete as varied and enjoyable as possible it would be ideal if each group could link their stall to the organisation they represent, so a football club could have a ‘beat the goalie’ competition, and a bowls group could have a nearest the jack competition.
Obviously these are only suggestions and groups will have their own interesting and creative ideas!
For those who would like a stall on the day, the committee say they would like to have an indication of the type of activity taking place as soon as possible. This will enable the organisers to avoid duplication of activity – thereby making the fete as enjoyable as possible for everyone who attends.
Certain events are already on the programme and these include a fire service display complete with tender, a treasure hunt around the village using the map that was produced by the Parish Plan group citing all the historical buildings, as well as the usual bouncy castle etc.

The fete committee is looking forward to working with all local groups on this event
