Enderby Dodgeball Academy members nominated for awards

Members of  the Enderby Dodgeball Academy have been shortlisted for a number of  prestigious local sports awards.

The Blaby Sports Awards are delivered to honour the achievements of individuals, sports clubs, coaches, officials and volunteers that make an outstanding contribution to sport or health related activities in the Blaby District.

The awards are not just about recognising those who compete in sport they also celebrate the achievements of volunteers who give up their spare time to coach or those that often go unnoticed by work tirelessly behind the scenes to help a club operate smoothly.

A posting on Enderby Dodgeball Academy’s facebook page today announced:

We are delighted to announce that Liam O’Sheehan has been short-listed for Coach Of The Year at the Blaby Sports Awards for his incredible work with the Junior Club.

All award winners are automatcially entered into the Leicester Mercury Sports Awards.

The good news doesn’t stop there… the club’s facebook post goes on to say that Academy member Shaun Scott has also been shortlisted for ‘Volunteer of the Year’ award for his services to Dodgeball and the Enderby club.

The Leicester City Ligers have also been shortlisted for Team of the year following there success at the UK Nationals.

A spokesperson for the Enderby Dodgeball Academy said:

We are over the moon to be recognised by our local district and look forward to the awards on 24th November.
