Enderby Band Christmas Concert will feature Sarah Stephens

Posted on December 3, 2018December 3, 2018 by staff

Enderby Band are looking to finish off another great year with their traditional Christmas Concert at Enderby Parish Church.

In 2018 the band performed at several prestigious and high-profile events including the Rock Choir for Rainbows concert at De Montfort Hall, and ‘Pack Up Your Troubles’ at Hinckley Concordia Theatre.

The band also had a good year on the contest front, winning an invitation to appear at the Finals of the National Brass Band Championships, were runners up at the LBBA Contest, and winners of the Bolsover Festival of Brass, taking the most entertaining band prize too.

The concert will feature several pieces from the winning Bolsover programme as well as a performance of Verdi’s La Forza Del Destino which was the piece we chose to play at Leicester, and several festive favorites and the usual audience participation carols.

Alongside the band, the concert will also feature acclaimed soprano soloist Sarah Stephens.

Sarah is well known to the band, having appeared at this concert for several years now. Sarah will be singing with the band as well as performing solo.

Over the years the concert has become a firm favourite with audience and band alike and is a central part of the village’s Christmas season.

The concert is always popular so it is recommended that tickets are purchased early to avoid disappointment.
