Despite a couple of April showers, over 350 people joined in with the activities during the Easter holidays.
Hosted on Bouskell Park, Blaby, one of the many parks and open spaces in our area, enthusiastic parents and children donned their wellies and enjoyed the activities on offer, including football penalties (see photo) and hockey.
Youngsters also had the chance to try out their putting skills.
Xplorer Orienteering also proved popular, with children hunting different signs across the park and a sweet treat at the end as a reward.
Councillor Sheila Scott, Portfolio Holder for Health Improvement & Leisure Services, Said:, said:
“We were really pleased with the turnout at the event.
“We are committed to ensuring young people are given activities that not only they enjoy, but may inspire them in the future.
“It was great to see families in attendance enjoying the event, even if the weather wasn’t exactly perfect!”
The Easter Eggstravaganza is part of Blaby District Council’s three events during the year, including the Spooktakular at Halloween and Love Parks in July.
