Easter celebration fun day in Blaby

Posted on March 30, 2019March 30, 2019 by staff

A free family celebration event to mark the end of Beat the Street will be taking place over the Easter holidays.

Beat the Street launched at the end of February and was a giant game with thousands of residents playing, including primary schools, local businesses and sports clubs. Over the first four weeks more than 60,000 miles have been walked, run or cycled between ‘Beat Boxes.’

To celebrate the end of Beat the Street, which finishes on 10th April, Blaby District Council has organised a special family event on Tuesday 16th April, 11am-2pm on Oakfield Park, Blaby, LE8 4FE.

The free event will include fun activities for youngsters, including Gladiator duel, a bouncy castle, obstacle course, arrows archers and active arts and crafts. Toilets are available at the park as well as limited parking.

Families will also be able to enjoy Oakfield Park with its play equipment, football pitches and open green space.

The winning teams from Beat the Street will also receive their prizes.
