Two fun packed Red Nose Day events have been organised in Enderby to raise money for Comic Relief 2011.

Active Together Blaby have organised a sponsored Zumbathon at Enderby Leisure Centre on Friday March 18 followed by a Smiles 4 Miles Fun Run starting at Brockington College on Sunday March 20.

The Zumbathon starts at 6.30 pm and people are challenged to go the distance with three hours of moving and grooving to hypnotic Latin rhythms.

The Smiles 4 Miles Fun Run challenges people to run, jog or walk a short distance course around Brockington College and the surrounding area in fancy dress.

There are three races on the day for different age groups, these are:

  • Junior Race – 1km course for under 12s, starts at 10am
  • 12-15 years – 1.5km course, starts at 10.30am
  • Adults – 5km course, starts at 11.05am

Entry is £5 for adults and £2 for juniors (under 16s). A family ticket (two adults and two juniors) costs £12.

To enter the run or for more information on either event contact Blaby District Council’s health and leisure team on 0116 272 7703, email leisure@blaby.gov.uk or visit the Council’s website (link below).
