Enderby Citizens Advice Bureau
The C.A.B. is an independent advice service providing free, confidential and impartial advice to everybody regardless of race, sex, disability or sexuality. Due to having to cut costs, the service no longer operates from the Enderby Civic Centre. Operation is currently managed from Blaby (see below).

We are planning to raise our profile in Enderby and surrounding area (you don’t have to live in Enderby to join) over the coming months as we celebrate 25 years since the first exchange took place in conjunction with Brockington College.
Future events include a meal at Bistro Pierre, snowdrop walk, quiz night, skittles, coffee, wine and beauty evenings, petanque challenge.

Community Action Blaby District has become Community Action Partnership

From their base at the Pavilion in Huncote, Community Action Blaby District act as the area’s Community Hub and deliver a wide range of services directly to the people and communities of the District.

  • Volunteer recruitment, support and brokerage
  • Community development
    supporting groups and organisations with general advice and information, assistance with funding bids and the administration of the Blaby District Council’s small grants.
  • Community transport
    providing volunteer drivers for those residents in Blaby District who are unable to access public transport. There is also a minibus available for hire.
  • Mental Health services
    supporting adults and young people who are experiencing mental health difficulties.
  • Carers support
    providing information and support for carers in the Blaby District area
  • Blaby District Befrienders
    a service to find volunteer visitors for older physically frail people who are socially isolated
  • A Place To Grow
    a community garden based in Enderby providing supported gardening to groups in a safe and accessible environment

CABD also provides information about local and strategic issues and provides a voice for the voluntary and community sector in Blaby District
