Dig This!

A call is going out for local volunteers to take part in a project that will rejuvenate an area of Enderby currently perceived as neglected …but with the potential to become sustainably pleasing to the eye.

It’s all part of a drive by the newly formed “Pride in Enderby Forum“, which brings together local residents and members of local voluntary organisations in the community to promote sustainable living together with a general sense of pride in Enderby.

As one of its initial projects, the Forum has identified the ground in front of the M.P.K. Filling Station on Cross Street as a candidate for visual improvement. To this end, it would welcome offers of help to prepare the ground and subsequently plant some seeds. The desired outcome would be to create an attractive display over the summer.

Ideally, planting would take place in early April, so Saturday March 19th has been pencilled-in for the work to prepare the ground.

Anyone who has access to gardening equipment or could simply spare a little time on March 19th would be most welcome to attend in order to get this project off to a flying start.

Offers of help – and for more information, please contact 07793 551401.
