Families and young children took part in spooky themed activities including story walks, face painting and craft making. There was also a dance performance of Thriller and fancy dress competition adding to the entertainment.
And for those a little more adventurous an interactive monster walk through the park which gave lots of spooky thrills in the dark.
Sharon Bown from Blaby attended the event and said:
“My children had a wonderful time, we all did, and they especially enjoyed the ghost walks. It was a great night and lots of families were saying how much fun they were having.”
This free event was hosted by Blaby District Council in partnership with Active Together Blaby as part of a programme of events to encourage people to increase their physical activity and get out and enjoy parks in Blaby District.
Physical Activity Development Officer, Alex Brown added
“The Family Halloween Spooktacular was a really fun event and it was great to see so many families dressing up in scary costumes! The Spooky story walks were a huge success, combining gentle exercise with a fun, interactive story”
