An event to highlight the work that Blaby District Council’s Community Services team undertake is being held in Narborough.
Community Services provide a wide range of services protecting individuals and communities from harm and helping to grow thriving, independent local communities.
Services include Domestic Abuse, Substance Misuse Prevention and Anti-Social Behaviour.
Children’s Support Services and BB19 Youth, which engages with younger members of the district, are also active within the Community Services team, who work with partners from across the County to deliver their projects.
Partner organisation such as Supporting Leicestershire Families, Acorn Training, Turning Point and the Youth Employability Project will also have stands showcasing their services.
The 75-minute session will offer the chance to find out more about these services and how to access them, as well as the launch of the “Housing Skills for Life” programme.
Housing Skills for Life will be a new workshop helping residents with budgeting and money management skills.
Other sessions include tenancy rights and responsibilities, healthy eating and accessing local services.
