Community Cinema arrives in Huncote

huncote-pavilionHuncote Pavilion is set to launch a new ‘community cinema’ programme.

Working in Partnership with The Phoenix Community Cinema, the Pavilion has secured funding through the British Film Institute supported by the National Lottery to become a neighbourhood cinema venue.

The aim of the programme is to bring together local communities to enjoy film for all, that don’t necessarily have access to a traditional cinema, in a relaxed social atmosphere.

The programme will focus on reducing social isolation and loneliness and improve health and wellbeing through Arts activity, supported by the Health and Arts Development Service.

The first screening will be the BFG, a family favourite on Saturday 17th December at 10:30am.

Tickets are available in advance from the Pavilion reception for £3.50 or £4.50 on the door.

Concessions and group tickets are also available.

For more information about the programme or to book the tickets please contact The Pavilion Team on 0116 275 0246 or email leisure@blaby.gov.uk
