The Co-op is set to serve up a new-look food store and Post Office in Enderby this week (Thursday, 27th February) following an £800,000 investment.
Located in Cross Street, Enderby, the Co-op – which runs on 100% renewable electricity – has undergone a near six-week programme of works and improvements.
The 5,700 sq ft store, which supports over 30 local jobs, includes a bakery, Costa coffee dispenser, free ATM and household electrical items, alongside a focus on fresh, healthy foods, meal ideas, food-to-go, award-winning wines, Fairtrade products and, the Co-op’s exclusive new vegan brand, GRO.
It also includes a home delivery service and, Post Office services which are available throughout the store’s opening hours for added convenience, almost 100 hours each week.
The store also brings a funding boost though the Co-op’s Membership scheme – Members receive a 5% reward when they purchase own brand products and services, with the Co-op donating a further 1% to local community causes. In November, more than 4,000 community causes UK-wide shared around £17M from the Co-op.
Students holding the TOTUM card (the new name for NUS extra) also pocket a 10% discount off their groceries at the Co-op..

There will be offers and promotions in and around the store to mark its re-launch.
The Co-op picked up the “Convenience Retailer of the Year” and “Food-to-go Retailer of the Year” titles at the latest Retail Industry Awards.
