Christmas Tree recycling sites

recycle_xmas_treesEnderby residents and others in Blaby are being urged to start their new year on a ‘green footing’ by recycling their Christmas tree when they have finished with it.

The Council’s refuse and recycling team will be collecting trees as part of their standard garden waste collection after new year or residents can visit one of nine drop off points (as listed below on this page) from Boxing Day until Friday January 9th. Can we urge EYE readers to use one of the sites listed below:

The Enderby site is Enderby – Leisure Centre car park , Mill Lane

Other sites around the District are:

  • Countesthorpe – Co-op supermarket car park, Main Street
  • Elmesthorpe – Village hall car park,
  • Glenfield – Stamford Street Car Park
  • Huncote – The Pavilion car park, Sportsfield lane
  • Narborough – Narborough park car park, Desford Road
  • Stoney Stanton – War Memorial Playing fields car park, Carey Hill Road
  • Thorpe Astley – Aldi car park, Meridian Way

People can also take their trees to the Whetstone tip (please visit www.leics.gov.uk for opening times) or put their tree out with the bins on the first garden waste collection day in January.
