Posted on September 10, 2013 by staff

The centre, located in nearby Huncote, has a gym, squash and badminton courts, a sports hall, outdoor pitches, and a BMX track, will be hosting the family fun day on Saturday September 14.

New facilities include revamped changing rooms and dance studio, new branding and signposts, new carpets, flooring and lighting in all corridors and communal areas and a complete repaint.

The squash courts have all had a makeover and the car park has been redesigned and resurfaced. From the road new signage is now prominent promoting the leisure centre and its facilities.

Councillor David Clements, portfolio holder for Corporate Services, Performance and Leisure, said:

“The Pavilion is a well used and well loved sporting facility in the district and it’s great to see the place benefiting from a makeover. I hope this open day will encourage those in the area who do not already use the Pavilion to come and see what fantastic facilities are available on their doorstep.”
