50 businesses and partner organisations working in Blaby District attended a free breakfast meeting on 22 January to share ideas for boosting the local economy, and hear about the latest funding opportunities and training incentives.
The meeting included a brief speaker programme with topics on local and regional economic development news, funding programmes, the East Midlands Chamber of Commerce, and the Leicester and Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership’s new business support website.
There was also the opportunity to network with local businesses and partner organisations.
Councillor Tony Greenwood MBE, Portfolio Holder for Planning, Economic Development and Housing Strategy at Blaby District Council, said:
“They are an excellent opportunity to network with local businesses and to discover what support is available from the council and its partner organisations. We recognise that our local businesses can benefit from support and encourage them to get in touch to find out more.”
The Council is planning to hold its next business networking event in April.
