Burglaries in Huncote, Narborough and Glenfield being investigated

Police from Blaby Local Policing Unit are appealing for information for three burglaries they are investigating.

The first burglary happened between 8am and 8.30pm on Friday January 11, 2013 at a property on Denman Lane in Huncote. Stolen were cash, gift vouchers, a gents Armani watch and a black Acer Laptop computer.

A green Nissan Micra was seen speeding off from the area at around 8pm the same evening.

The second burglary happened between 12pm and 10.35pm on Friday January 11 at a property on Primrose Close in Narborough. Stolen was a quantity of gold and silver jewellery including wedding rings and an engagement ring, an emerald eternity ring, a gold sapphire ring and an ivory jewellery box.

The third burglary happened between 6pm and 6.30pm on Friday January 11 at a property on Whitesand Close in Glenfield. Stolen was cash and two gold rings, one which was a gold signet ring which has the initials PD on the outside.

The investigating officer, PC Stewart Cross, said: “We are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in these areas at these times to contact police.

“Perhaps you saw someone hanging around acting suspiciously or maybe a vehicle parked up you don’t recognise? Have you been approached by someone selling items matching those stolen? Please contact us if you think you can help.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact PC 2247 Stewart Cross on 101, follow the instructions to leave a message for a police officer and when prompted key in the officer’s identification number 2247. Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers, which is free and anonymous, on 0800 555 111.
