Brockington College gets Olympic cash grant

Posted on February 15, 2012 by staff

Brockington College in Enderby has been awarded £6000 by the Department of Education.

The money has been made available to fund a scheme that encourages other schools to get involved in Olympic fever in the run up to the 2012 Olympics. Staff and students at Brockington will seek to inspire and engage other schools and young people in sporting events.

Seb Coe, chair of the London Organising Committee, is quoted in the Leicster Mercury as saying:

“Colleges like Brockington are brilliant advocates for London 2012, demonstrating what a positive difference linking learning to the Games can make.”
