BusinessBusinesses in Blaby District are being invited to a free breakfast meeting next month to share ideas for boosting our local economy.

‘Blaby District Means Business’ will be held on Thursday 9 July in the Council Chamber, Blaby District Council, Desford Road, LE19 2EP.

It is the seventh in a series of networking events Blaby District Council is running to benefit local firms in the area.

The meeting starts at 7:30 am with breakfast available on arrival, followed by a brief speaker programme with topics including an update on Broadband from Superfast Leicestershire and the work of Leicestershire Cares.

There will also be support for local businesses available and the local business spotlight.

Councillor Tony Greenwood, portfolio holder for Planning, Economic Development and Housing Strategy at Blaby District Council, said:

“These events have been a great success in showcasing the support that is out there locally for businesses within the
district.

“We encourage small and medium sized enterprises to attend and find out about funding, skills and support programmes they can benefit from.”

Places are limited so businesses are being urged to book early by contacting A.K Khan on 0116 272 7765 or email economicdevelopment@blaby.gov.uk.
