Improvements at Bouskell Park, on Welford Road in Blaby, have been implemented to encourage people in the district to visit and make use of the green space.

Enhancements include two new entrance signs, notice boards re-positioned to improve the view into the park and the car park resurfaced to improve access.

There are also now dedicated disabled parking bays and a space created for future picnic benches.

Councillor David Clements, Corporate Services, Performance and Leisure portfolio holder at Blaby District Council, said: “Blaby District Council recognises the value that green space provides to local communities and BouskellPark is a real asset for our district.

“These simple improvements will hopefully raise the profile of the park and encourage more people to visit. We’ll be looking to make further improvements to the site in the near future.”
