Are you aged 50 years or over and living in Blaby District? Do you want to have your say and keep informed about local issues and services that affect you? If so come along to the Blaby District Over 50s Forum.
The next one is the Annual General Meeting taking place on Monday 2 March from 2pm until 4pm at the main council offices in Narborough.
As well as AGM business, there will be speakers on the theme of Community Safety & Crime Prevention with information stands from various organisations of interest.
During the last year forum members have benefitted by hearing from a range of different speakers on topics including help to stay at home, reducing isolation, and preventative health.
At the AGM forum members will decide what to focus on during 2015-16 and will also be voting in a new Chair.
Current Vice-Chair Peter Knill said:
“The forum is a great opportunity for residents in Blaby District. It enables you to let public services know what your concerns are and hear how they carry out their duties on your behalf. It is also your chance to decide who you want to question at future sessions.”
