Marion Broomhead, Chairperson of the Forum: “Always keen to welcome new members”

If you are aged 50 years or over and living in Blaby District and want to have your say and keep informed about local issues and services that affect you, then why not go along to the Blaby District Older Persons’ Forum?

The next meeting is taking place on Monday 1 September from 2pm until 4pm at the main council offices in Narborough.

The theme for the upcoming forum is “reducing isolation” with speakers and information stands from local transport, befriending and community groups, as well as an exercise taster session.

Marian Broomhead, Chair of the Older Persons’ Forum, said:

“The meetings provide an opportunity for you to get lots of useful information and advice as well as share any knowledge you have about local services or community groups. We’re a friendly and relaxed group and we are always keen to welcome new members.”

The forum can help if you need transport assistance to attend. For more information please contact Zoe Coulson at strategic.partnerships@blaby.gov.uk or call 0116 272 7566.
