Blaby District Older Person’s Forum

The next Blaby District Older Peoples’ Forum will be meeting on Monday 2nd December 2013 2-4pm at the Council Chamber, Desford Road, Narborough, LE19 2EP

This quarter, being the Christmas meeting, there will be Carols and festive songs from children of a local school.

The theme of this month’s forum is keeping warm and eating well this winter.

Jo Shaw, from 4 ways to warmth at Blaby District Council, will be speaking on keeping warm; and Samantha Clarke Health Improvement Officer at Blaby District Council, will be speaking on eating well.

Support on managing a budget to afford food & energy bills will be available from Citizen’s Advice Bureau.

If you are 50 or over and live in Blaby District, you are more than welcome to come along.

This event is free and refreshments will be provided.

The event is organised through Community Action Partnership working with Blaby District Council.

The purpose of the Blaby District Older People’s Forum is to bring together older people to express their views on issues relating to their health and well-being and the range of services available to them and meets four times a year .
