Blaby District Older Persons’ Forum June Meeting

CABD logoThe next meeting for the Blaby District Older Persons’ Forum is taking place on Monday 13th June 2011, 2pm till 4.00pm at the Council Chamber, Blaby District Council Offices, Desford Road, Narborough, Leicester, LE19 2EP.

This meting is open to residents of Blaby District aged 50 and over.

 

The guest speakers are from Severn Trent Water and shall speaking about door step crime and will be bringing water efficiency product to give away, and Leicestershire County Council Trading Standards, who will be helping members how to recognise scams, door step crime and how to avoid being a victim.

 

The purpose of this forum is to bring together older people to express their views on issues relating to their health and well being and the range of services available to them and meets four times a year for the following

  1. To seek advice and give information on all issues affecting older people.
  2. To identify priority areas and how this affects their daily lives.
  3. To advocate inclusion of older people into the community
  4. To share knowledge and promote learning and involvement.

 

 

 

 

The Blaby District Older Person’s Forum are currently seeking new members from across the district who feel they would like to represent their neighbourhood, to be a voice and raise concerns for older residents.

You need not have any previous experience, just to be keen to represent your neighbours.
