Blaby District Older People’s Forum AGM

The next Blaby District Older Peoples’ Forum will be meeting on Monday 4th March, 2-4pm at the Council Chamber, Desford Road Narborough.

This quarter it is the AGM, after which there will be a talk and information on Leicestershire Police; and a representative from Blaby District Council will be speaking on the new welfare reforms from 1st April.

There will also be stands with information from other groups.

The purpose of the Blaby District Older People’s Forum is to bring together older people to express their views on issues relating to their health and well-being and the range of services available to them and meets four times a year for the following

  • To seek advice and give information on all issues affecting older people.
  • To identify priority areas and how this affects their daily lives.
  • To advocate inclusion of older people into the community
  • To share knowledge and promote learning and involvement.

If you are 50 or over and live in Blaby District, you are more than welcome to come along. This event is free and refreshments will be provided. If you would like to come but struggle with transport, please call 0116 272 7669 and we will try to help
