Police are appealing for witnesses after an assault on a 15 year-old girl in Whetstone.
The incident took place at around 5.00pm on Thursday August 28 in the grassed area between Wychwood Road and Mawby Close, Whetstone.
The victim was approached by a group of 4-5 men and was subjected to verbal abuse before being punched in the face causing facial injuries. She was taken to hospital and treated for minor injuries.
One of the suspects is described as being of black or dual heritage appearance, approximately 17 years of age, around 5’ 9” with short dark hair. He was wearing a red hooded zip-up top with a white zip to the front and white stripes down the arms and also wearing black jeans.
A second man in the group is described as white, also believed to be around 17 years of age with blonde, shaven hair with a quiff at the front and wearing an orange baseball cap with pink socks over grey tracksuit bottoms.
A third man believed to be of the same age was wearing a purple baseball cap.
PC 497 Jack Zielinski who is investigating the incident said:
“The victim of this assault has been left shaken and disturbed by what happened. “We would like to speak to anyone who might have witnessed the incident or know the perpetrators of this attack.”
