Armed robbery at Fleckney village Co-op

police carPolice officers were called to premises on High Street, Fleckney at around 9.45am today (Tuesday August 6) following reports that a robbery had taken place at the local Co-op store.

Three suspects who were all masked had entered the premises armed with what has been described as a hammer and a metal bar and hit a man to the floor.

The victim sustained minor injuries that didn’t require hospital treatment.

A quantity of money has been stolen.

The three suspects made off in a vehicle.

A silver coloured BMW was seen driving away from the area at speed.

A silver coloured Vauxhall Zafira which is believed to be connected to the incident has been recovered in the area of Fleckney.

DC 1924 Bill Beechey, the investigating officer said:

“We are in the initial stages of our investigation and would urge anyone who witnessed the incident or who saw either of the two vehicles in Fleckney this morning to contact us.”
