Appeal for witnesses following road collision in Countesthorpe

collision investigation vanPolice are appealing for witnesses after a man was run over on Station Road, Countesthorpe.

The incident happened on Wednesday August 8 at around 10.30am.

The victim was crossing the road when a parked car rolled back knocking him to the ground before rolling over him.

The victim was taken to the Leicester Royal Infirmary where he was treated for his injuries and kept in overnight.

PC 1375 Chris Wood said:

“We would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident between the vehicle and the pedestrian who was not spoken to police officers at the scene to come forward.”

Anyone with information in relation to any appeals featured on this site is asked to contact the relevant officer on 101, follow the instructions to leave a message for the officer and when prompted key in the officer’s identification number *.
