Abandoned chihuahua puppy ….appeal for information

Posted on January 28, 2014 by staff

help graphicA young male Chihuahua puppy was found in an “Emuca” box at 10am on Wednesday 22 January.

The box was in the middle of the pavement at the Forest Road/Desford Road junction in Narborough, close to the footpath entrance onto Carlton Park.

The dog was and still is extremely ill and we are appealing for witnesses who may have seen anything suspicious in the area, such as a car pulling up or someone placing a box on the pavement around this time, which may help us to find out who abandoned the dog.

The dog has been named Zac and is currently being cared for by a local rescue centre.

Any information please speak to Michelle Iken, Senior Dog Warden at Blaby District Council, on 0116 272 7515 or 07823 533 290.
