Refurbishment of building in Enderby village centre reveals evidence of its past use.
Work on the building which sits on the junction of King Street with Mill Lane has revealed marks above the doorway that show a ‘Co-operative’ sign was once placed there.
The premises were latterly occupied by a branch of Harrison Murray estate agents (image inset left – Google). An EYE reader snapped workers working on the exterior of the first floor which is being converted from office space to living accommodation (image insert right – photo: LG)
Many buildings in the immediate area have association with the Co-operative industries.
