Over 100 young people took part in a mobile skate park session at Enderby Leisure Centre last Friday (March 8).

The event was a trial run for a regular session that will be starting at the centre in May and gave the company supplying the mobile skate park ramps the chance to do a demo.
In addition to the regular session the skate park equipment will be available for hire by the community.
Claire Jarvis, Sports & Recreation Development Officer at Blaby District Council, said:
“The event was a massive success; feedback from the young people was extremely positive and showed real demand for this service on a Friday night.
“We will now be working this project up in more detail and also encouraging Parish Councils to get involved.”
The night also included a competition to name the session with a £50 prize. Entries are still being taken until Sunday 31 March with the new name announced prior to the launch.
