A second public consultation on plans for a major new housing development in Lubbesthorpe has been extended by five weeks.
The extension is to give Parish Councils more time to consider the transportation impact of the development, and the consultation will now end August 31.
The plans for 4,250 homes, shops, schools, community facilities, public open space, two motorway bridges (across the M1 and M69) and 21 hectares of employment land have had several changes, which have been previously advertised.
This includes revised locations for the district centre, one of the local centres and one of the primary schools. Designs for the bridges across the M1 and M69 have also been amended. New proposals for an additional 4,600 sq metre employment site are also included in the revised plans.
New and updated documents have also been submitted by the applicants providing information on traffic, transport and air quality.
The revised plans are available to view online at www.blaby.gov.uk/lubbesthorpe and in libraries and parish council offices in the following locations:
- Kirby Muxloe
Copies are also available to view at Blaby District Council’s main offices in Narborough and Glenfield Library.
